Prof. Salins is the Medical Director and Sr. Vice President of the N. H. Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Center and Narayana Hrudalaya Multispeciality Hospital. He is an internationally acclaimed authority in Cranio-Maxillofacial surgery with several innovations in skull base access surgery and facial deformity corrections to his credit. His current focus includes system-based approaches to molecular discovery for the treatment of diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and Parkinson’s disease. He also works in the area of computational biology and the development of heterogeneous machine learning systems. As Chairman of InCITE, a healthcare technology business incubator funded by the Government of India, Prof. Salins actively nurtures entrepreneurship in healthcare engineering solutions, supporting start-ups and innovators. Prof. Salins has a passion for art, classical music, literature, and the study of its impact on creativity.
