Dr. John Oommen, who grew up in Vellore, did his MBBS and MD in Community Medicine at CMC Vellore. He has now served for 30 years at the Christian Hospital in Bissamcuttack, in the Rayagada District of south Odisha. His work has included community health and primary education for a tribal community, along with helping to run a 200-bed hospital. The learnings and skills gained through this journey are used to contribute to different circles, including Government, NGOs, and Mission agencies.
