KNOW YOUR SPEAKER: Dr. Latha Christie is a senior scientist with around 32 years of experience and is presently the Associate Director at MTRDC, the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Bangalore. After graduating with Honours in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu, she completed her Master’s and PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Her research interests are in the fields of microwaves and computational electromagnetism. She received the prestigious Prof. Satish Dhawan Award for Engineers, instituted by the Government of Karnataka, for outstanding achievements in the field of engineering sciences for the year 2014, and was awarded by the Chief Minister. She has filed a patent, and has around 60 publications in international journals and conferences, and has also authored three books.
